Durak Duratex

It is a textured polyester sewing thread. It is an advanced-level smooth and bulk, lower twisted, high-strength over lock thread with a wide range of usage areas.

Product Identification

  • Has the property of high stretching and covering.
  • Used in order for coating hemstitch for the stitches requiring elasticity.
  • No shrinkage problem in stitches after washing due to low shrinkage values.
  • Provides bulk and heavy-weight looking in over lock applications.
  • Has multi-directional color fastness that is resistant to the hardest washing conditions.

Physical and Chemical Properties


Except for extreme practice, polyester is not effected from most of the acids.


Polyester is resistant to light Alkaline, medium-level resistant to heavy Alkaline.

Organic Solvents

Are not effected from normal solvents. They can be dissolved in certain phenol compounds.


Are not effected from chlorine and peroxide up to 20gr/lt.


Perfect resistant against washing. 1% or less shrinkage at 100°C.


After 150°C, physical and chemical changes occur.

Finishing Treatment

A lubrication treatment is applies, that provides a very well sewing performance in high sewing speed, does not generate tone difference in colors and does not change during storage.

Dyeing Technology and Lubrication

DURAK Duratex® textured polyester sewing threads have been dyed in rather rich range of color options through usage of environmentally friendly dyestuff and chemicals. All colors in the swatch card of Durak Poly-Strong® are included in our stocks numbered 180.
